Whilst babysitting several other twenty-something year olds at my hizzle, I felt the best way to keep them away from the Mexican Chilli Doritos I had my eye on was to distract them with Gears Of War 2. For all you non-GOWers, apart from having utter disdain for you, I should let you know how awesomely satisfying it is to squidge a 14 year old chinese kid with a shotgun whilst offering him consolation with details of the intercourse had with his mother the previous night.
Whilst in the middle of a particularly violent murdering spree I turned to my friend and exclaimed “I have never felt this… mighty!” Cue awkward silence followed by laughter at the rejuvenation of a forgotten word.
Sure everyone still remembers the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (your welcome) but these are just words that people say without thinking about the meaning behind them (Morphin should have an apostrophe too). The meaning and use of mighty has disappeared - can you remember your last use of the word?
Case and point - I have been gyming it up hard recently and have noticed that I am getting bigger and stronger (as is what should happen). However, I have decided that I’m not gonna stop going or relax my attitude towards my new regime until my strength has become might. When I feel mighty I shall stop and then use said might for lifting cars off old ladies and lids of pickled onions jars - like a real mighty man.
